Chessington World Of Adventures

WHAT'S NEW FOR 2017?

The World’s first “Gruffalo River Ride” is now open! Float down the lazy river and marvel as the magical world of the Gruffalo is played out before your very eyes. With incredible special effects and many exciting surprises, the whole family will be charmed by this wonderful new attraction.

Expect to get a little bit wet along the way and watch out for a few scary appearances by the Gruffalo himself that will delight the adults as much as the children! This ride is included within the normal park admission fee.

WHAT’S THERE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN:

One of the increasingly popular Go Ape adventure trails can now be found within the park at Chessington World of Adventures and, with a dedicated Tree Top Junior course, children over 1m can now take part too!

In addition to the range of suspended platforms and treetop adventure trails on offer, Go Ape at Chessington also features a first of its kind, four-person zip wire which lets the whole family enjoy the thrilling vertical descent at the same time.

Kids are sure to love the amazing zoo at Chessington too, with over 1,000 fascinating animals to observe including lions, guerrillas and penguins and as well as more unusual specimens such as the plumed basilisk and the Bolivian squirrel monkey.

WHAT’S THERE FOR ADULTS?

Whilst Chessington is a firm favourite amongst kids, there’s also a wealth of exciting rides for adults to enjoy too.

Our first recommendation is Kobra, which sees riders planted on a huge snake-themed, spinning disc whilst they traverse a sloping track at 43mph. If that’s not enough, Rameses Revenge is sure to satisfy the desires of any adrenalin junkie (as long as you’re willing to get a bit wet!). This ride will take you on a whirlwind of excitement as you are quickly spun around and then suspended upside down over flumes of splashing water fountains.

For those looking for a more…relaxing experience, be sure to visit the sea life centre where you can observe many different aquatic species, learn more from the experts and even watch one of the many feeding sessions. There are many great places to visit near to The Park Hotel and, at just 9 miles away; Chessington World of Adventures is no exception!
The Park hotel is located only a 20 minute drive from Chessington making it an ideal hotel to break your journey if you are travelling from far away. Our spacious family rooms are perfect for a family of four and the Park restaurant and bar is open all day for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We are also located within easy reach of a range of other exciting sights and attractions including:
